Dos perfumes con flor de cerezo / Two cherry blossom perfumes

Se que el verano se acaba y con la llegada cada vez más cerca del otoño, lo último que pensamos es en la flor de cerezo. Sin embargo, como amante de los perfumes florales, creo que estos dos merecen ser mencionados aunque sea fuera de temporada.

 

Shay & Blue - English Cherry Blossom

English Cherry Blossom se lanzó en 2016 y la perfumista detrás de esta composición es Julie Massé, una de las propietarias de Shay & Blue (según tengo entendido). Esta fragancia es el tipo de fragancia perfecta para mí: femenina, floral y elegante. Es un perfume unisex, pero para mí, si tubiera que ponerla en una de las categorías convencionales,  diría que tira más para el lado femenino.  Las notas de salida son bergamota, mandarina verde, flor de cerezo; las notas de corazón son higo, casis (grosellero negro), madreselva y cerezas negras; las notas de fondo son iris y maderas. Las notas frutales de grosellero negro y cereas, le dan un toque más ácido que hace que esta fragrancia me resulte energizante.

Una de las cosas que me gusta mucho de esta marca es que parecen ser muy transparentes sobre los ingredientes y el proceso de abastecimiento. Esta fragancia es libre de crueldad animal (no probada en animales), vegana y de origen responsable. Utilizan ingredientes naturales pero también sintéticos y son abiertos al respecto. En su sitio web afirma que, por ejemplo, la obtención de algunos ingredientes podría tener un impacto en el medio ambiente, por lo que prefieren utilizar la molécula sintética en lugar del ingrediente natural. Estoy de acuerdo con este enfoque y también todos los ingredientes sintéticos son seguros y probados en numerosas ocasiones, de acuerdo con las regulaciones de la UE.

Maison Christian Dior - Sakura

Sakura significa flor de cerezo en japonés, es algo que aprendí de pequeña viendo el anime Sakura Card Captor :D.  Según la página oficial, el autor de la fragancia, François Demachy, viajó a japón y observó los cerezos en flor, todo un evento nacional. Esa escena junto al aroma que desprendían los cerezos es lo que quiere transmitir a través de este perfume.

A diferencia de "English Cherry Blossom" este perfume no es tan fresco e energizante, es más calmado, sutil, delicado, pero su aroma persiste un buen rato.

Las notas de salida, según Fragrantica son notas verdes; las notas de corazón: jazmín, rosa, flor del cerezo japonés y hediona; las de fondo; mimosa, violeta y almizcle blanco.

No es una fragrancia con sorpresas, creo que es bastante lineal. Ideal para primavera. Al olerla me da confort. En vez de energizarme, me entran ganas de que el perfume me abrace, no se si lo puedo expresar bien. Lo único que me falla de esta creación es el precio, aunque hace poco han sacado a la venta versiones de 40ml más económicas.

 

I know that summer is ending son and with the arrival of autumn, the last thing we think about is the cherry blossom. However, as a lover of floral perfumes, I think these two deserve to be mentioned even if it is out of season. :D

 Shay & Blue - English Cherry Blossom

English Cherry Blossom was launched in 2016 and the perfumer behind this composition is Julie Massé, one of the owners of Shay & Blue (as far as i know). This fragrance is very much my type of fragrance: feminine, floral and elegant. The fragrance is still unisex but to me it fits in the conventional category of feminine fragrances. 

The top notes are bergamot, green mandarin, cherry blossom; the heart notes are fig, cassis, honeysuckle and black cherries;the base notes are iris and woods. The fruity notes of black currant and cherries give it a more acidic touch, that makes this fragrance energizing.

One of the things i like a lot about this brand is that they seem to be very transparent about it ingredients and sourcing process. This fragrance is cruelty free (not tested on animals), vegan and responsibibly sourced. They use natural but also synthetic ingredients and are open about it. On its website it states that for example, sourcing some ingredients could have an impact on the environment therefore they prefer to use the synthetic molecule instead of the natural ingredient. I agree with this approach and also al synthetic ingredients are safe and tested numerous times, according to the EU regulations.

Maison Christian Dior - Sakura

Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese, it is something I learned as a child watching the anime Sakura Card Captor: D. According to the official website, the author of the fragrance, François Demachy, traveled to Japan and observed the cherry blossoms, a national event. That scene together with the aroma that the cherry trees gave off is what he wants to convey through this perfume.

Unlike "English Cherry Blossom" this perfume is not so fresh and energizing, it is calmer, subtle, delicate, but its aroma lingers for a long time.

The top notes, according to Fragrantica, are green notes; the heart notes: jasmine, rose, Japanese cherry blossom and hedione; the background s; mimosa, violet and white musk.

It is not a fragrance that surprises, I think it is quite linear. Ideal for spring. Smelling it gives me comfort. Instead of energizing me, I want the perfume to hug me, I don't know if I can express it well. The only thing that I don't like about this creation is the price, although they have recently released cheaper 40ml versions.
